"They surprised me with this gift, nobody has ever thought of me before and much less in this pandemic time," expressed Olga. "I couldn't believe what was given to me, I have groceries for a month."

Earlier this year, generous donations from the COVID-19 disaster fund were distributed to 425 sponsored families and 53 non-sponsored low-income and large families in Sucre, Bolivia. These vulnerable families of Sucre city live a day-to-day existence and were significantly affected during the six-month quarantine period.

"I want to thank you for this support," says Miriam. "It is coming at a time when I am in most need. I was so desperate and don't have any savings. I give thanks to God for thinking of my children and me." Before the pandemic Miriam sold bread, but after the pandemic, other people decided to do the same thing which dropped prices so low it wasn't profitable. She decided to stay home and used her inventory to feed her family.

Each food basket included staples like rice, sugar, flour, oil, oatmeal, quinoa, noodles, peaches in juice, and salt. The site also delivered COVID-19 prevention and information workshops for the families to help curb the spread in the local community.

With tears in her eyes, Mrs. Bricella said, "Sister, I don't know how to thank you for delivering me this food basket, it is the best gift in these difficult times. There were so many hard times, and nobody else helped. I believe we are all the same, there is no work and all our savings are gone and we don't know how to explain this to our children. Sometimes we must do wonders with the little we have. Thank you once again, may God bless you for much good you do for us."

Thank you dear donors for your continuing support during this most difficult time.
