Little Things With Great Love

The gift of a rooster and two laying hens was greatly appreciated gift for ten vulnerable families at our Neema sponsor site in Tanzania. Children in these families are lovingly cared for by elderly grandmothers and mothers with chronic illness who are unable to go to work. This gift brought immediate relief as the hens gave nutritious eggs to supplement the children’s diets and soon began to produce new chicks which laid more eggs. The excess eggs and surplus chickens were sold to neighbors which gave the families extra funds to buy other items they needed.

The children squealed with delight when they first saw their chickens and were eager to learn how to care for them and were soon expert egg collectors.

“Jesus Christ is our hope,” writes the families in their combined thank you letter. “We send greetings of love and prayers. We have already seen many changes in our family and through the community! Thank you and thank God for the help we have received.”

Thank you dear donors for continuing to answer the call of those in need by giving though our gift catalog which allows us to gift thousands of items every year. It’s been a chaotic year but a simple gift filled with hope and love can restore faith and elevate the life of someone a world away. 

“I delight greatly in the LORD; my soul rejoices in my God. For he has clothed me with garments of salvation and arrayed me in a robe of his righteousness, as a bridegroom adorns his head like a priest, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.” Isaiah 61:10
