Join us on a mission trip to India

We are accepting applications for our next mission trip to our Kerala, India site from February 10-24, 2020. If your sponsor child's code begins with UHMC, UHMM, or UHMR, we will be visiting their region.

Travel with us to gain insight into Chalice's mission and see how it is carried out with our partners in Kerala. Learning and service activities are planned with the sponsor site staff to complement their work in the communities we visit. Activities are further tailored to the skills and experience of our volunteer team.

Our site director, Sr. Deepa, is inviting Chalice volunteers and staff to come learn and serve within the following contexts in the community:

  • Nursery, primary and secondary schools

  • Supplementary education center for children

  • School for special children, which includes a physiotherapy department

  • A society and center for candle making and making the host for use during Holy Qurbana (The Eucharist as celebrated in Syriac Christianity)

  • A printing press

  • Tea farming

  • Family circle groups (Chalice's family funding model)
