Ángel is an energetic and creative 4-year-old boy living in Cañete, Peru, where he lives in a plywood home with a calamine roof alongside his mother and sister. He is currently in kindergarten and considers himself a little artist, finding great joy in singing and dedicating his time to art class. He is a hands-on learner who loves using building block toys to create complex shapes, figures, cars, and towers.
Following an illness or complication during his early development, Ángel experiences difficulty speaking and finds tasks like painting within lines to be quite challenging. He is raised by his single mother, who works hard on a farm to support the children after his father left the family before he was born. Despite these financial and speech hurdles, Ángel remains a joyful child who loves staying active and playing with his cousins.
