Mhikyla

Mhikyla is a fourteen-year-old girl who lives in Baliway, Philippines, in a cement-and–sheet-metal house with her parents, two brothers, and two sisters; she is the youngest of eight children. She is in grade 7 and loves her language arts classes, especially reading — mystery books before bed are her favourite. Mhikyla dreams of becoming a lawyer someday. She enjoys practicing volleyball skills with her friends and helps at home by washing dishes and sweeping the floor. Her father works as a mason, and Mhikyla is grateful for the opportunity to have a sponsor who supports her education and goals.Sponsorship enables children to attend class every day and have the supplies they need to complete their education, grow up healthy, and achieve their dreams.
